Substrate: Soil, CVS Plot # 2117142, THIS SAMPLE UNIT WAS BURNED OVER ABOUT 25 YRS AGO. SP04 IS A ROCK OUTCROP NON ESTABLISHABLE. SP02 & SP05 ARE IN OPEN BEAR GRASS WITH SOME OLD STUMPS FROM FIRE. SP01,02,03 HAVE SOME NOBLE REGENERATION SINCE FIRE. SOILS ARE VEREY STEEP AND ROCKY THROUGHOUT, Willamette National Forest, Detroit Ranger District, CVS Plot #2117162\ From Detroit, travel east on FS road 46 for about 13 miles to road 4685 for about 5.5 miles to large gravel parking lot on the south side of road. Hike south from parking lot about 600 feet to Brietenbush river. Find a log to cross and then continue at about 250 degrees for 400 feet to Reference point. The Reference point is growing on a flat alluvial river plain.
